"A week after our daughters 4th birthday, she started showing signs of a mild, yet strange virus; she was extremely tired, pale, had a low fever, and strikingly blue mottled skin. I called our pediatrician and he said it was probably “just a virus” and to give it some time.  A week later, there was no improvement besides the fever that left, but she was very cold and had a low body temp.
